The Netgear WAX610Y Setup can connect 30 users simultaneously and up to 250 individuals at once. It can be remotely controlled and supports PoE when set up as a stand-alone networking device. On this page, we will try to cover every minor detail related to the product, including how to set up and log in to the Netgear WAX610Y extender.
The dual-band access point can be configured using the Insight app, the Insight managed online GUI, or the default web URL mywifiext.
Connect a PoE+ switch to the LAN/PoE+ port on your WAX610 access point.
Make sure the switch has an internet connection.
After that, you should check the LED status. The LAN, Power/Cloud, LAN, and WLAN lights operating at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz should all be solid green.
Follow the instructions below once these lights turn green.
The Netgear access point login procedure depends on how you reach the AP. The following steps should be taken if the AP is configured in standalone mode:
When the login page displays, enter the username and password you gave AP during setup.
Select "Log In."
It will display the Day Zero Simple Setup page.
You can change the AP settings as you like.
To change the password, go to Management > Configuration > System > Advanced > User Accounts > Password.
NOTE : If you need any help regarding your wavelink wifi range extender so get in touch with the technician or visit the official web site that is mywifiext.net setup
It's similar to updating the firmware on a Netgear extender using the mywifiext.net configuration address:
To log in, use the IP that was assigned to you by the access point's host gateway.
It will show the dashboard page for your WAX610Y.
Click Check for Upgrade to instruct the AP to check for the availability of a new firmware version.
If an update is discovered, click Upgrade Now.
Follow the dialog windows and prompts to complete the process.
